Got up to a beautiful day. Perfect blue skies with white fluffy clouds, not a drop of rain for the whole day and night (as I am writing this the morning of Day 11).
We had another wonderful day with our guide Abel and our boat Captain Delroy, and a new friend from France - Anneshophie (another photographer!) We took a boat out into the Caribbean where we saw several Pink Dolphins and beautiful coastline scenery. We pulled up to a hut on the coast where the kayaks were picked up and loaded on the boat - then off to Gandoca Lagoon where we saw several species of birds, iguanas. I found some kind of "worm critter" that had made a shell around himself and was attached to a log. It was a new find for Abel also, possibly a Tubeworm? IDK, will have to research that one. Annesophie had the sharp eyes also and pointed out something swimming across the river - a Coati - which is their version of our racoon. Abel attempted to "herd" it towards us so we could get a photo of it's face, but he also didn't want to be torn up as he explained they can be very aggressive, especially when threatened. He said that it would not have a problem getting into his kayak with him and tearing him up.
I, unfortunately, took the wrong lens out on the kayak with me so I'm not posting too many photos as they did not turn out well. I'm leaving the bird photos to Kevin since he was the brave one and took out the 150-600, which is what I should have taken.
After returning the house it was shower time and then time to figure out where to eat - when ended up being another place our ARA guide recommended: Di Wo - Yum!
Yet another wonderful day in Manzanillo (pronounced Man-juan-nito) or something close to that.
