Day 4 - It ain't easy being green - Kevin

Everything here is green and damp from rain or humidity, Another laid back day, we walked to the beach and swam for a while until we got a touch burnt. Walking back we noticed some monkeys in the jungle across the road. Got our cameras and began photographing them. A white diesel SUV rode slowly by watching us, then went on down the  road. We saw an overgrown driveway leading into the jungle, so we walked further into the jungle for a better view. The sounds of the diesel was back, I looked back and there at the end of the drive was the SUV sitting there watching us. I ignored  them and a few minutes later I hear a horn blast. The SUV was backing up to enter the drive and there was a car behind them they almost ran into. Then here comes the SUV and two idiots get out while leaving their diesel running and walk up to Stephanie and I. Meet the idiot "Bad American Tourist", "Hey watcha photographing? We're from Idaho!"...  the monkeys that are fleeing now!!!

Later we went to the ARA project just down the road to see the Great Green Macaws. They rescue macaws that people get as pets, illegally and birds from poachers and release them back into the wild. We get there early and our guide says that we are waiting for 5 more people. A few minutes later the familiar sound of a diesel comes rolling up. Yup we get to see the Bad American Tourist again and they don't disappoint. About three quarters of the way through the say "Well we seen what we came for" then rudely leave. Go back to Idaho please and stay there... no wait, better yet Kansas.
